Learn to embrace the feeling

This week, our founder teed it up with some of the UKs most revered sportsman.

A 4 ball, consisting of the tennis legend, Andy Murray, cricket superstar, Kevin Pietersen, once the Worlds most expensive footballer, Gareth Bale, and “businessman” (as the press reported it), Warren Kwei.

The game was hosted by Kwei and Bale at their home club, Queenwood, in Surrey, UK.

Do I belong?

Whether it be in a Board room, or on a Golf Course, those demons will often appear. Do I belong? Do I have a voice? Will they even listen?

In the scenario our founder faced himself in, on an athletic level he’s clearly exposed, so, he opted not to ‘compete’. Rather, his voice was heard, elevated even, when the topics of geo-politics, macro economics, and general business related dialogue commenced.

The point here is that rather than scramble to have a shared percentage of dialogue in an area that you feel you cannot offer an opinion on, focus on asking questions about others experiences and listen, hard. Wait your turn for a subject that you’re well equipped to lean into. In other words, learn to use the angst you might feel in certain situations and open up when the time is right to do so.

" Learn to embrace the fact that your silence can be a strength. Less can always be more in the Board room". Warren Kwei, Founder at EA.
